Twilight Hot Rod Show -Take Two

Here's a big HOWDY to everyone who came out to the Twilight Hot Rod Show at Rocklea Showground in March.

The uncertain weather didn't dampen spirits or the attendance, as hundreds of hot rod fans and their rides rolled into the showground for a huge, seven hour show.

As soon as the gates opened on the day, a steady stream of hot rods, customs, American and Australian classics, bicycles and vintage motorbikes rolled into the grounds and filled the main hot rod show display.

A second hot rod display area was also filled as it became obvious the weather, although cloudy, was going to stay dry.

A colourful collection of market stalls surrounded the hot rod display outside and inside. A last minute problem with transport caused the Mirror Maze to unfortunately cancel, but the giant slide-ride provided the kids with a fun thrill.

The indoor sites lead through the to the concert pavilion, which was rockin' from the get-go. All the entertainers put on sensational performances - Regular Gonzales, The ReChords, DJ Swingabilly Ray, Miss Teresa, Dan & The Dualtones and of course, Big Sandy & His Fly-Rite Boys who were in top form for what was their last show on their Australian tour.

The huge rollup to the Twilight Hot Rod Show made it the biggest Twilight Show we have ever hosted.
