Twilight Hot Rod Show

Australia Day Weekend 2010

Thank you to all the Aussie classics, American iron, hot rods, rat rods and kustoms that came out to the third annual Twilight Hot Rod Show.

The fins and chrome glistened in the afternoon sun, the bands rocked to the rafters, the market stalls were full of colour and fun.

The new location of the Rocklea Showground ticked all the right boxes, including ample space and parking, shade, patron comfort and venue location.

It was a fantastic day all 'round!

Twilight Hot Rod Show 2010

The Australia Day Weekend is traditionally the last hurrah of the January holidays.

The Twilight Hot Rod Show is held on the Sunday of this weekend in Brisbane. The idea behind this summertime event is to gather together in the cool of the afternoon, check out the rods and dig the bands. Who says hot rod shows have to start at 8am in the morning?!

The Australia Day weekend is an ideal time to acknowledge our Aussie motoring heritage and shake off those back to work blues.

New Venue

Rocklea Showground - cnr of Ipswich Road (service road) and Goburra Street - Rocklea

The show format welcomes all pre-1970 vehicles, especially Holdens, Valiants, Aussie Fords and Chryslers, whether they are in daily-driver or restored condition, as well as hot rods and American classics.
